"Fair enough. We're out here, after all." But she'd also never minded the rain. Even when she was little, storms were her favorite thing to watch, and she liked to play in the rain - and her dad had never discouraged it.
"Maybe they'll come out next time. It's supposed to be nicer over the weekend." Cloudy, she thought but at least not rainy, and who knew how it might change between now and then.
Part of her did wonder if she should try to convince the girl to do something else with her day, but ... well, it wasn't really her concern either way. If she wanted to spend her time watching the waves in the rain, so be it. There was no harm in it. "Were you going to go swimming, too?" She asked with a glance back to the water. "Or just watch the waves?"
