Was flipping through the old boob tube and came across the Walking Dead...how do people enjoy that? I sat through maybe five minutes before I changed it to House Hunters...then I went for a walk. Yikes.

I'm going to go ahead and side with you on this. I don't see the appeal of zombies, to be completely honest.

Zombies are already amongst us, you can find them glued to their smart phones 24/7.

I may or may not be guilty of this myself.

You know, I think technology gets a bad rap sometimes. It can be abused and all that jazz, but I can pull out my phone and not only call my brother in Spain, but see him and my nieces. I can also lose a few hours playing Tetris on zen mode.

It's a blessing and a curse, haha.

I don't have too much family left, but you do have a point there. And now I'm downloading Tetris.

I like both of those shows, but then, I have weird tastes in everything. Some people like that show because its intense and dramatic and maybe not controversial but like, you know there's a lot to talk about. Oh, I can't believe so-and-so did that/died I can't believe this happened/didn't happen, what were they thinking! Kind of thing. You know? I think people like that, and that's the appeal of drama tv shows. Not so much that it's zombies but the sort of fall out that comes from a post apocalyptic world.

My sister used to watch shows and get worked up like that. I never really understood the hype. But I was always more of an outdoors person. Not one to hold that against anybody though! If others enjoy it let them enjoy it.

When you can really empathize with the characters it makes it a lot easier.

House Hunters though, that's my jam.

Ah, yeah, I suppose that's very true.

I watch it way more often than I'd like to admit. I get a little stressed if they're on the verge of picking the wrong house.

Exactly! Ohmygod that gets me EVERY time. I didn't realize I had such a particular taste in houses but when they pick one they REALLY didn't like because their partner really did like it or they just pick one I thought wasn't as good, I get so anxious/mad!

Consider it personal education for when you're ready to become a homeowner yourself. ;)

Oh I doubt I'll ever be a homeowner but it will be what I look for if I ever do get to live somewhere else.

That's what makes us all interesting. We each like different things and would be boring if it was all the same stuff. So what other shows do you like besides House Hunters? I never got into that show.

You said it perfectly. It takes many different pieces to complete the puzzle.

I love the Food Network. And I'm a proud Whovian as well. It takes a lot of imagination to come up with some of those episodes.

I can't argue with you on that. I'm not much of a Food Network watcher though. Although I've gotten into that show Chopped. Don't know if it's on that station or not.

I...can't tell if you're calling me old or not. I had the VHS, went through a phase of watching it at least once a week before my mom hid it. Then I discovered the other two movies.

I'm not a big fan of zombies, despite being a horror fan but I love the show because of it's grittiness and character development. A lot of the characters that have been on there for awhile have seriously changed as people. I honestly never thought I'd like it due to zombies, but I gave it a chance and haven't regretted it since.

besides... Badass black chick with katanas. What's not to love?

I'm just not a big fan of gore, that's what's put me off I think. But I can appreciate the idea of the survival story and people discovering just what kind of people they are.

Hmmm...knives. Not so much.

Gotta admit, it does get pretty gnarly sometimes. So, can't blame you. My Aunt refuses to watch it for the same reason, the gore.

lol Katanas are badass.
