Woody decided that he wanted to change the direction of their conversation, at least for a moment. He hoped it wouldn’t feel like an intrusion to Andy. “So, Andy, do you date? Is their anyone here at the institute that you are in a relationship with?” Woody reclined on his side, supporting his head with his hand, “You are such a cute guy, I can’t imagine someone hasn’t snatched you up!” He smiled, “I’ve tried to have a relationship, out in the real world, but my ability always got in the way. I eventually gave up and just became a sort of loner.”
It was hard to believe Andy, when he said that the side effects to his ability were okay; his facial expression and body language just didn’t back up his words. “Are you sure? I don’t think I could get used to that, Andy.” Woody watched as the other boy’s fingers played through his long hair and he thought how pretty it was.
Woody chuckled, “I’m glad that I’m not a burden, because I’ve only been here an hour and I already feel attached to you and this room. Does that seem odd to you?” When Andy said that he would like to be friends too, Woody was deeply touched, “Good. I think we will easily become the best of friends. Just be honest with me, Andy, and I’ll be honest with you and everything will work out in our favor.”
