Okay, so telling the boy who looks like he’s freaking out that you want to hug him possibly wasn’t the smartest thing to do. Woody had to accept the possibility that Andy may not just be shy; he may have some deep-seated emotional problems. For a split second, Woody considered touching Andy to see if he could read anything that would help him understand what the guy’s problems were. There were a few problems with that…first, it was completely immoral and against everything Woody believed in and he would never do that. Second, touching Andy would probably send the poor guy through the roof.
“Well…”, he spoke soothingly, “…no need to make any plans now. Plenty of time to talk about playing together later.” Until Woody knew more, he was going to walk on eggshells around Andy. “My ability? Psychometry… which is the divination of facts concerning an object or its owner through contact with or proximity to the object. I need to physically touch the owner or the object. I can’t do the whole proximity thing.” He shrugged, “So, what is your ability, Andy?”
