In case you're all wondering, the ferry only leaves for the mainland once a day at 6am apparently. Only took me about 2.5 hours of waiting at the wrong time to figure that out. 😎

	I was a high school guidance counsellor, but while I'm here, I plan on relaxing, getting to know my neighbors, truly embracing the Floridian lifestyle, etc. And what about you? Any grand plans for island life? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

oh lovely! i got sent to talk to my high school guidance counsellor a lot, haha. high school was a big adjustment. i bet plenty of kids were glad to have you!

well i have lots of farm experience so i'll probably help with the plants and animals! i grew up in a commune that grew or raised most of our own food, and then worked as a wwoofer the last few years, so i can basically do the same thing here and i think it'd be helpful!

	okay just based on first impressions alone, what advice would you give me? aw that's nice of you to say. i do have some good wilderness and rural life skills, and i'm happy to share them with everyone else, like by teaching them or just by doing what i can to make this little island amazing, because i sort of already love it here (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	oh how many times i've been called some version of unrealistic! it really is. picturesque and strange and wonderful. i hope people are up for staying and making a place for ourselves here. never quite felt like i found my place out there, you know? (Reply to this) (Parent)
