does anyone know how landlines work [...] how to set up a landline on the island?

also. does anyone know how to [...] nail things to ships? i talked to cliff and he said he'd be happy to have welcome committee set up a little information stand for new residents and i think it'd be best if it's secured but i don't want to go making holes in metal? i didn't want to ask him to help, given that he doesn't have a corporeal form or anything, because it seemed a bit rude? or maybe it's rude to assume he can't, i'm not sure.

hello!! good morning!! a few things!

1. there won't be a meeting this sunday because of the ball. there will be an optional meeting at 4pm on monday to put together gifts, but i know this is an inconvenient time so please don't feel obligated to attend. :(
   
2. i've been working on putting together brochures and a website with information for new arrivals. i'm struggling a bit with the FAQ section. could we put our heads together to think of a few Qs and As that might help?
   
3. what do we think about moving into a permanent room in town hall? there's plenty of space, it's easily accessible from both towns, and it'd be nice to have an Official Headquarters we can decorate and make our own. also, we could have a landline with a little answering machine.
   
4. we should do something nice for cliff! he works really hard for us and he was the original welcome-er. does anyone have any ideas?
