pov: the mushies are having a party in the walls of the inn but you're not invited unless (one of) your name(s) is cass and you have some weird pact with one of them.

There’s a Mush Party being thrown in the walls of the inn. Cass Janssen receives a personal invitation that morning! … But the mushroom he promised to help cashes in on a favor. They want him to get them something, and they scrawl out a little picture: a rectangle with a music note coming out of it. Can he help?

The party starts at 6pm and the entrance is through a mouse hole in the larder of the inn. Anyone inside the inn can hear Rasputin (2022 Remix) being blasted on repeat inside the walls until a reasonable and respectable 10PM.

the party is thrown in the walls of the inn, but the entrance is in the larder room. there's a mushie bouncer that's bigger and beefier than the others, but they're only about the size of a can of Monster Energy so like 🤷 still step-on-and-over-able tbh but you will make an enemy (or several) for life.

only cass is invited into the larder room. they won't let anyone else into the room without invitation but you can hang out outside. some of them might even come visit! you can also try to bribe your way in.

they play the same song on repeat and cheer loudly at the end ("MUAAAAAHEEEAAA!!!") until one of them hits the replay button. there's about a 30 second to 2 minute delay between songs as they try to figure out how to use a smartphone. (pretty good, tbh!!!)
