Oh, goodness! I'm late! I had planned to be here on the very first ferry, but it was of extreme importance that I complete the training of my work replacement. The office would've been absolute chaos had I left early! My replacement nearly managed to delete the entire birthday calendar on their first day, which meant that someone might not have gotten their cake before anyone realized something was amiss -- disaster!

(Had I known that there would be internet here, I might have seen about telecommuting! Is anyone else missing their job already too?? 🙂)

Is it too late for me to join any committees? There are committees here, yes? I have been sitting idle for much too long and would very much like to pull my weight but am very very very overwhelmed Even something as small as a birthday committee, I've found, can help to bring order in times of chaos!!
