The words that left Herrick's mouth sent shivers down his spine, the idea of someone controlling in every possible way was a very scary concept to Reid. He was use to living without rules, without guide lines, he pretty much had both his parents wrapped around his little finger from the day he was born. He looked down into his bowl of ice cream because he was worried he had this deer caught in head lights frightened look on his face and he didn't want it to show.
He shook his head and ruffled his hair because he didn't like it tucked behind his ear mostly but partly because he was trying to fight this whole controlling thing, Herrick wanted it tucked like that so Reid didn't. He gave up on his ice cream he no longer had an appetite. He wasn't sure if he was relieved to hear the last statement or worried.
