Who: Eli and Sarah What: Confessions When: Tuesday afternoon Where: Sarah's place Rating: TBD
All of the three haikus Sarah had slipped into his pockets or left at his house had made him smile. Wide and like an idiot, he was sure. They had sent his undead heart into spins and somersaults and he had kept them all, tucked away safely into the small notebook he always pinned his ideas down in, so he could carry them with himself always.
But when he had found that last note he swore the world had stood still for a full five minutes. At least. Because that was the only explanation he had for staring at it for an half eternity without even so much as blinking. It had taken half of that time for the words and their meaning to actually sink in. And the other half he had spent grinning like a maniac again, unable to move or to think or do anything besides read those three words over and over again, giggling like a school boy.
And when he had finally woken up from that daze again he had reached for his phone to ask Sarah where she was. The quick confirmation that she was home was all he needed. He grabbed the small velvet box that had been standing on his nightstand for quite a while now, the small silver bracelet around his wrist dangling softly. That he had bought only a few days ago, in fact right after he had received the first haiku. It looked almost like a claiming bracelet, just a little slimmer, a bit more fragil looking. And it had Sarah's name engraved on it. Corny was what he was after all.
He just slipped into his shoes, black to match his pants and the white dress shirt he wore, then ran all the way to Sarah's place. He had way too much excess energy to burn right now. When he arrived in front of her door he was breathless, but not from the running, more from the funny things his heart was still doing inside his chest. He rang the doorbell, stepping from one foot to the other, nervously waiting for Sarah to open up.
