"I won't hurt you." Gulliver promised and smiled at her when it seemed like she believed him. He knew he'd felt better if he could walk with her and not for the same reason. "You shouldn't be paranoid, it's like you said, you have that bracelet. No vampire in this town would hurt you." And if vampires kept their distance than humans really would also.

"Do you have very far to go?" He wasn't even sure how long they'd be traveling in the same direction but now he felt like he had to go all the way with her. He couldn't leave anyone alone in the street afraid late at night. He had some morals, after all.
