Who: Aya Kimura and Contessa Hart (Roulette)
What: Aya goes to pick up a held book and meets Contessa
When: Wednesday afternoon
Where: Library
Rating: Probably low, Aya isn't much for high ratings.
Aya could pretty well be left to her own devices without too much trouble. She did miss spending time with her brothers, but she didn't need them around as much as she wanted them around. She spent most of her free time these days experimenting with new recipes or just reading a good book. Both of these activities had taken her to the library a lot recently, and now she was making another trip to the building, this time for a book she had had on hold.
She made her way toward the library, thinking about the things going on in her life. There wasn't much compared to Riku who had gotten a girlfriend, changed claimers and was now in the process of making a baby with her due to the new mandate. She felt bad for Riku and Kitty having to deal with this so early in their relationship, but she supposed that for some it was worse. Those, like her, who didn't have a boyfriend at all and were chosen to have babies. She was glad she hadn't been one of them.
Once she arrived at the library, she stepped inside and walked over to look at the shelves to see if any other books caught her eye. She didn't have any checked out yet, so if she left with just the one, she'd probably finish it in a couple of days and be back soon. Not that that would be a bad thing. She was there a lot as it was and it didn't really bother her.
Seeing nothing that really caught her eye, she made her way to the desk and caught the attention of the woman behind it. It wasn't the blonde she was used to seeing there, this woman was younger--probably around her own age give or take a few years--with dark brown hair. "Excuse me, I had a book on hold and I think it's in?" she asked in her generally soft tone of voice. She didn't tend to get loud unless she was around those she knew well. And those were few and far between.
