She was pretty sure the fertilization had taken, but she had an appointment later in the week to find out for sure. The whole pregnancy business was making things weird for her, though. The night before, she'd had a dream about Saw, a movie series she hadn't even watched in two years. Working at a clinic and being pregnant, though, reminded her of Jill Tuck and the fate of her baby. Fortunately she didn't work at a clinic with any sort of addictive drugs, and though she did work at a clinic which fed vampires, she wasn't worried about any addicts killing her baby by accident. Still, the dream had unsettled her.

Work had taken her mind off of it, though she was reminded of it as she was leaving the Blood Bank that evening. It was nothing but a quick flash but it made her shudder. She'd never had to really worry about keeping someone else safe, but that's what she would have to do, and it was a very fragile life she would be protecting. Even as a nurse, it was probably the most responsibility she had ever been given. On the other hand, if everything went according to plan, she'd have a beautiful little baby to live with at the end of it all, and she hated living alone. The thought brought a smile to her face and drove away the memories of the nightmare. As she turned around from closing the door behind her, Anneliese saw a familiar face--not uncommon in a small town in which she had literally met everyone. "Hey," she greeted them.

"You're welcome!" Addy chirped as she handed over the section. "I love Kit Kats. They're on of my favourite chocolate bars." Of course Addy liked chocolate bars in general! But Kit Kat were one of the best. So nice and crunchy.

"They have some really pretty ones. Well, those sleep mask things," he said. "I saw one that was Hello Kitty, it was super cute!" He had almost bought it, but then decided he didn't need it because he had a sleep mask already. And he could only wear one at a time!

"It's a very good brand," she agreed as she finished up the last of her piece of chocolate. "It isn't one of those chocolates that taste tacky or stale. It even sounds fresh with that little crunch it makes," she added with a little laugh. "So easy to save for later, too, if you have to for some reason."

Anneliese raised her eyebrows in interest. "Hello Kitty sleep masks?" At least it wasn't a Hello Kitty blindfold. She'd heard some stories about some of the products they made with Hello Kitty labels in Japan and...well, she didn't want to think about that at that particular moment with underage company present. "Was that at the mall? I might have to look into it. Maybe I'll even get a variety for the bank, for people who don't like such cute things."

"And they taste good if they've been in the fridge," Addy added. He liked chocolate bars when they were a bit cold - especially on a warm summer day! It was refreshing and gave them a little more added crunch.

"Yes! It was super cute, it had Hello Kitty eyes on it and it was pointed like it had little ears," the teenager explained vividly, with little finger gesturtes to indicate pointy kitty ears. "It was at the mall! That store that sells accessories and things!" Which Addy liked a lot, because none of it was too expensive, but it was better quality than, say, Claire's or some place like that.

Her expression turned blissful at the thought. "Addy, you are so right, they would taste better from the fridge. Extra crunchy. I could see this quickly becoming a pregnancy craving. I might have to stock up ahead of time. And if it does? I'm blaming you," she teased.

Anneliese chuckled at the descriptions. A sleeping mask with ears? That was something else. "The accessories store, huh?" She couldn't remember the name of it, but she couldn't remember about half of the mall. Those were semi-rare trips for her. Going to find that mask would be an adventure. "Did they have any others that you know of? I might as well get several while I'm there."
