hello! now that he's here, let me introduce to you kian arbaugh, 31, of the peculiar arbaughs, currently making ends meet for the family business by taking care of all things floral and a good bit of front of house keeping for the funeral home, while his cousin ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) crossroads juggles the numbers in the background.
kian's a local who briefly left for college for [something, somewhere] before returning home because everywhere else was just too unsettlingly normal; he has always been a bit of an odd kid, probably partially because his family deals entirely in death and they live in peculiar (so much so that his mother got freaked out by the town and hightailed it out of there), deeply into reading and drawing and other introvert hobbies, who didn't have the easiest time making friends, and went through a bit of a traumatic experience when he was 15 and his dad died, so he moved in with his cousin's family.
as an adult, he's a little more settled into himself and who he is and a little less awkward, but he's got a strong side eye and an ever vigilant bitch face that make him seem only slightly less approachable than he is, and he's at his best and warmest when dealing with grieving people and anyone going through hardship (and maybe ghosts). he's still an avid reader and painter, enjoys video games, and can often be found around town taking photos.
i'd love any and all things for him since there's plenty of room for them! he's got something of a best friend in caliper, a cousin he cares deeply for in crossroads, a short-lived ex in flub i think, and is wide open for all things (including more family, someone bring me ebon moss-bachrach as another cousin, friends, former (?) bullies, somewhere to have worked summers as a teen, etc)!
