guinevere goodale
hello and welcome to me. this is guinevere goodale, cousin to ~caliper and new(ish) to town. she's psychometric to some degree and loves antiquing and old bookstores. her gifts do work on people, but only - of course - with consent from the other player! they have to be projecting something pretty hard or trying to share something, too. an old hat though? forget it. this girl is probably seeing every head that ever wore it. she is an appraiser of old things and has just come into ownership of tried and true salvage yard. (whoever has the hold of helsing oddities, i'd love to work out a line there!) guinevere did a stint with antiques roadshow, too, so someone might recognize her if they're a fan of the show. one of the things she does at tried and true is to try and make sure she doesn't send haunted items home with people. unless they want them. then they're on their own. she's a single mother of a seven year old named tatum and i haven't decided on dad details, so if you're interested, let me know. i'm thinking that's why she moved, though, to be in a smaller town to raise her daughter who is also gifted. please feel free to hit me up for random ideas. at this point, she's pretty open and the more shenanigans, the better.

bringing in this matt berry face as the co-owner of helsing oddities (which is half run by ~fuchsia's npc uncle) he's an eccentric, always very grandiose and a bit of a dummy at times. his main passion is traveling and has spent many years backpacking and recovering items for the shop. he claims most items at the shop are cursed, haunted or magical in some way but he has no ability to really know that - but will tell you a story to go along with it. part of the inspo for this character was mr. sardo from "are you afraid of the dark" if you remember him from the 90's series.
most of his life was spent in london but has always returned to peculiar because he feels that it draws him there. generally, he's been in and out of the area for half his life and over the last 10 years he's been living in the graymire where the shop also is.
for lines, i'm looking for an ex wife, anyone from the uk he may know, past travel buddies or someone he met during his travels, regulars at the shop, people who have tried to return items sorry final sale, more older faces for friendships, whatever else you want to hash out as i continue to work on his bio

hello! i'm posting this and going right to sleep so please bear with me if i come back later. this is morgan jessup, granddaughter to the famed marlene jessup. her mother was a morton, estranged sister to the current mayor of peculiar and her best friend is ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) button. she grew up in alderburg but always felt like the odd one out, getting looks and whispers because of her family's reputation. she left peculiar as soon as she graduated high school for culinary school in new york to become a pastry chef.
things were great for a while but, in 2020, she gave in to the jessup family curse (which is what drove marlene to madness) and did forbidden magic. this caused her to go off the deep end for a bit, and her father dragged her back to peculiar for a magical detox. she's stable now, reluctantly working at oakes' diner which her grandfather took over in the early 70s, but pretty much hates life in peculiar and resents having to be there are all, even several years later.
so with that said, i'm open for all kinds of lines! friends, foes, relationships with either gender that have quickly crashed and burned, anyone that had a run in with her when she first returned and wasn't quite acting like herself, anyone she might have grown up with, diner patrons, etc etc

hi friends! bringing you dr. dani morton! she is in her first year of residency at peculiar mercy and is the daughter of the mayor, for better or worse. she's one of the few kids they had that was groomed for medicine as opposed to politics, so her whole life was essentially planned for her, and she was fine with that until moving to stanford for undergrad and grad school. now she's back and is trying to establish herself at the hospital so her family doesn't force her to take over her mom's private practice.
essentials: she grew up in graymire, went to peculiar west high, played soccer throughout middle and high school, also did sports medicine so was one of those student trainers during football games, loves doing outdoorsy shit on her days off and will readily get muddy going camping with you, despite her changing feelings towards her medical path she does like being a doctor and helping people. she did her best to get good grades, etc, but wasn't afraid of partying every once in a while - she just wasn't the type to go and break all the rules all the time.
she is cousins with ~gougere and plays soccer on her off days with ~button so any connections there we can work out! she's attended all her family's political events, so she's known about town and we can work with that however you feel!
