Monroe is still building her army and The Nemeton has sensed the lack of balance between the sides. So, in it's desire to protect the supernaturals of Beacon Hills it has created portals throughout the preserve and other supernatural beings and their allies have began coming through these portals. Scott McCall and his pack have taken several of these newcomers into their pack, while others have chosen to form their own packs and alliances. Either way the true threat still comes from Monroe and her followers. She wants to wipe Beacon Hills and all towns like it from the map now, just to destroy the supernatural world for good.
