HORRORATHON
Marrowood; a small, quaint little town. Or so it seems. At the heart of this town is a dark and twisted secret, a terrible truth that, once revealed, cannot be shut out until all who know are dead. With untold horrors roaming the town, citizens that respond to no amount of cajoling and nasty terrors waiting around every turn, will you survive your stay? Or fall prey to the darkness like those before you?

A MULTI-FANDOM GAME
The HMS Surprise is a multi-fandom RPG that is based on the promise of adventure, working together, and character development. You are on a spaceship in the middle of cosmic nowhere - the month is present on the calendar, but the year is unimportant, and thus unlisted. You have been provided with a small apartment including a private bathroom, bedroom, and living area. A few of your possessions from home have made the trip, and you have been granted a communicator that both accesses the network, the ship's database, and whatever passes for the Internet in the unspecified year.
The ship is capable of holding 100 crew and passengers, is outfitted with everything a person requires to meet their basic needs: there is a cafeteria and kitchen on the B deck, along with the gymnasium, library, and med bay. The ship's crew is standing by, ready to offer any assistance or answer any questions that you may have.
Except...
There's hardly any members of the crew to speak of. There's one or two along with the ship's computer manifested as a hologram, and while they're helpful, that's about it. No one knows why the ship is mostly empty or what happened to her former crew, but the fact of the matter is, she's still going to rescue people and she's still going to make frequent stops on alien planets or jump through time. The multiverse isn't supposed to break and that even makes the stars themselves unstable and unpredictable. The unexpected needs to be expected and if you want to survive, you're going to have to take matters into your own hands and join the effort to keep the HMS Surprise running. Her mission is to find you a new home – the least you could do is show her the same mutual respect.
Wanted Characters: Sam Winchester, Rick Grimes, Commander Shepard (male or female), or any Star Trek, Star Wars, or any other fandoms. We have a cap on Doctor Who and Marvel Cinematic Universe right now, but seriously - even us out and the caps will come down.

 RULES | FAQ | TAKEN | WANTED | HELD | APPLICATION The premise of the game is simple enough: your character is not the gender that they appear as in the comics. No, they didn't suddenly wake up in the wrong body, they were born this way, and live this way. Their very origins have changed--who are they? What does Cyclops' stoicism (okay, grumpiness) look like on a woman? How does Wolverine's animalism manifest? Did Clark Kent live a different life when he came to earth as a baby girl instead? It's 2014, earth. Human rights are on the rise at the demands of the citizens, but it is far from a time of peace and equality. The economy isn't doing great and many areas are experiencing political tension, if not worse. Crime is at an all time high, and for years, heroes have donned their costumes in order to try to give back, whatever their personal motives. Their actions make headlines, international news, and inspire children to dream of doing good, other powered (or not) individuals to take up the job. Unfortunately, it's also inspiring a few to become supervillains. The game is meant to be a fun exploration into characters we know and love. We seek to be an open, accepting environment to the players and their characters, where everyone can really enjoy themselves. This world is full of the heroes and villains (and civilians) that you're familiar with, they just happen to be genderswapped--and that's where the fun is! |
