Asheville has been proclaimed to be a "New Age Mecca" as well as "the new freak capital of the US". Most people overlook these statements made by the media, because most of Asheville's residents live there because it was named one of the top seven places to live in the US, it's location in the mountains and surrounding areas is ideal, and life moves at a slower pace in the South.

For many years supernatural creatures of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds had been migrating to this city in the Blue Ridge Mountains. None of them can quite put their finger on why they were drawn there, but there was a pull that they just couldn't ignore.

Supernaturals were content to live alongside humans in quiet; swaying them to the light or dark side or simply being content to live in peace. But then things began to change.

During the summer of 2010 a group of supernatural radicals decided that they were tired of hiding in the shadows, and they began an uprising. The uprising brought much attention to the supernatural community; at first just in Asheville, slowly the nation and then the world. People began looking at each other in a different light as they wondered if their neighbor, co-workers, teachers were supernaturals.

Things only got bloodier the longer the uprising went on, and finally a meeting of all the supernatural leaders in the area was called. They decided it was for the best if they revealed themselves to the public, and try to live in peace as they'd done for many years prior. The public cried for justice over the human blood that had been spilt and the leaders were more than happy to oblige. The rebel leaders were publicly tried, and imprisoned for their crimes.

Nearly two years have passed since the uprising, and while some humans have grown more comfortable with the idea of supernaturals mingling among them others are not so content with the change. The tension never fully did go away, and those who had begun the uprising hadn't intended for supernaturals to be content living among humans - they were supposed to rule them.

With each day that passes some of the humans want stricter laws for supernaturals, and the supernaturals only want the same rights that normal humans have. Some supernaturals have decided to keep their identities secret, and others flaunt their powers in order to gain respect, or sometimes fear from the humans. Something is brewing underneath the city of Asheville, and only time will tell if it's good or bad.

Fable 3

Seven months have passed since The Crawler's invasion had nearly decimated Albion. A month after the coup d'état had failed during the Ravenscar Keep riot, life still has not yet returned to normal for the citizens of Albion. With the collapse of the economy still present despite Reaver's return to his post at Reaver Industries, lower-class to upper-class families are suffering the consequences of the otherwise glorious defeat of the Darkness.

Rebuilding homes and communities takes time, but what about the countless lives lost during the invasion? The Crawler's attempt to replace light with dark had been successful in its own way. Albion's future is looking bleak with so many disillusioned people not knowing how to pick themselves up and move on.

The new Hero Queen's otherwise popular rulership notwithstanding, quality of life is at an all-time low. In Millfields, the local balverine population had doubled after Reaver had invited his entourage of sophisticated balverines to the community more than a year ago. Balverine attacks are steadily on the rise, and not a day goes by without an incident involving these monsters.

After ex-Sergeant Saker had turned his mercenary guild into a legitimate business, the few bandit gangs scattered across the realm continue to intimidate trader caravans and adventurers. Amid all of this are rumours of Shadow Temples, and an Assassin's Guild settling comfortably amongst the ruins of Albion's once healthy society.

And if these issues were not enough, the port town of Bloodstone has recently been brought to the attention of the Hero Queen. In spite of being isolated from the rest of the Kingdom due to Wraithmarsh, compared to the Bowerstone region... Bloodstone as a community has flourished.

On account that lawmen are as rare as hen's teeth, organized and disorganized crime is the way of life in Bloodstone. Nearly everything is for sale, and work is easier and more profitable than anything that could be found in Bowerstone Industrial, legal or not.

The Royal Family have no neighbours to rely on for help. Samarkand is too far away; the Court's troubled relationship with Aurora has yet to change for the better, and now trouble is brewing at Bloodstone. These matters have left the Hero Queen with few allies.

What is to become of Albion?

GIANT LEAP

Humans have always dreamt and dreamt big. For an entire millennia there were talks and dreams of what was out there - Life on other planets, new worlds to explore and the other fascinating mysteries about the wonders of space, but no one knew for sure.

Everyone wanted to know the answers of the universe.

On July 20th 1969 the very first human stepped onto the Moon's surface with the famous quote, "This is one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind". Yet, by the time the new century came around, it looked as if there would be no more advancement in space exploration and for a while the answers of space seemed too far for them to reach.

That was until the great discovery in the year 2019, when a group of scientists discovered a way to create and maintain artificial gravity, leading to the construction of a space station powered by this artificial gravity. Eventually, in the year 2035 the artificial gravity was successfully used in the construction of the first habitable city on the Moon and not long after that Mars.

The year is now 2353 and mankind has been in space for over three hundred years. In that time they have made many discoveries, a fair amount good and some not so. Humans have also managed to create many colonies outwith the Sol system and are now widely known across the galaxy.

A year ago when the galaxy thought they had found everything, humans discovered their first species of alien that had never been discovered before by anyone. That was the latest greatest achievement for mankind and they are not planning to stop there.

This is [info]giantleap, where you will step into the lives of those traveling across the universe. Is there still more out there? Or has humanity finally reached their limit? Join and find out with us!

For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack

Pack Alpha

Having killed the previous Alpha of the pack, Adrian has been maintaining the pack in Amethyst city as they find themselves surrounding by vampires, witches, and other faces of the supernatural world. He isn't out looking for fights, but if challenged he'll give you one you won't soon forget. His limited precognitive abilities gives him an edge against most opponents, but he has his weaknesses.

He'd love to have more of his pack in game. The Wolf's Den (a small tavern on the east end of the city) needs it's regulars and the pack it's strength. We have both the Alpha [[info]packalpha] and the Beta [[info]notapup] in game, but we'd like to increase the wolf numbers!
