The Game |
The year is 1981. Voldemort is still at large. The Order is hunting down Horcruxes. Sirius Black isn't in Azkaban. The Potters aren't dead. And The Longbottom's are nowhere near being admitted to St. Mungo's because of those damn Lestranges. Why not? Because we decided to throw canon out the window and re-write the story for ourselves and it's been one Hell of a story so far and it's only going to get better! Over at Crescendo, we believe in letting you, the writer, determine where the plot goes based on character interaction and plots, so literally anything can happen. We believe in giving you the freedom to let things develop naturally, instead of trying to force your characters into a small box to make things work with what happened in the books. We've been open for nearly six months and we don't plan on going anywhere, so come on over, take a seat, and drive the plot a bit to see where you can take us next. |
Current Events |
Not only is Voldemort and his loony Death Eaters causing problems for the Wizarding World, but there is a serial killer that is making everyone nervous. Katherine Rosier is doing all that she can so Millicent Bagnold will be recalled as Minister so Voldemort can take over. Alecto Carrow seeks revenge for the murder of her brother, Amycus, at the hands of Mary MacDonald and Marlene McKinnon. Most of the characters are in hiding and hating it, leading them to come up with creative ways to kill Voldemort, not to mention, the Order knows about the Horcruxes thanks to one Regulus Black, and they've already destroyed one all because the Lovegoods are B.A.M.F.'s and they need to find the rest! |

We're currently seeking dedicated writers who are interested in character development, participating in game-wide plots, changing canon through their actions and interactions, and truly exploring the 'what-ifs' of the HP-Verse that canon ruined for us. |

Bellatrix Lestrange is going to attempt to kidnap the Minister for Magic and impersonate her, but not to let Voldemort take over, but because she wants to be in charge, clear her name, and finally have the 'right' side in charge. Voldemort on the other hand wants Bellatrix and Rodolphus' child dead, the attention back on himself, and to find out how in the hell these damn babies are supposed to defeat him. Regulus Black is about to be tested in a big way, someone is going to be forced to take the mark, and the serial killer will be revealed! After a failed attempt to kill Alice Longbottom, of course. And poor Marlene McKinnon is about to pop out Severus Snape's child. But in order for these things to be as kick-ass as we want them to be, we need a few characters. Our most wanted characters are: Severus Snape, Rodolphus Lestrange, Xenophilius Lovegood, Frank Longbottom, Kingsley Shacklebolt, and a whole bunch more! Not to mention, poor Regulus really needs him someone to drag him out of that damn closet he's hiding in. |

You may start on the bottom of the ranks but it doesn't take much to rise to the top! We're currently proud to declare that our entire organization is under new management thanks to our new esteemed leader Rose Tyler." Enter Cardiff. A small city just on the outskirts of Wales, population of merly 500 people. Small, unassuming, harmless. Until now. A scientist, under the payroll of the Torchwood Institute, had been experimenting with Dimensional Travel. A way to cross other worlds without the use of the TARDIS or Dimension Cannon, something that was kept secret from nearly all its employee's. At first? All the tests failed. The walls of the universe stayed sealed. Little things we can't quite account for. Faces in photographs. Luggage. Half-eaten meals. Rings. Nothing is ever forgotten, not completely. And if something can be remembered it can come back." It started harmless enough. A small crack in the skins of the universe. Barley interesting enough to study, really. Tests continued to no avail and everyones impatience. Until the 'small crack' reached the rift that ran right through Cardiff. It would have been a simple fix, in all honesty. Except for one problem. When the Crack came into contact with the Rift, it herald a very interesting effect. Opening first one doorway, then another, it started a Domino effect. The walls of the universe, every universe, grew weak and crumbled. With no barrier to keep them from bleeding into each other, and no way to close either the Rift or the tear, people begin to appear from all over space and time. Torchwood did what it could on what knowledge it had, but even the small team could only do so much. So they did the next best thing. They set up safe havens for the misplaced.
