It started with Pixar. While Woody felt himself being swiftly replaced by a shiny, new Rocketman, the two dimensional cartoon world saw the beginning of what would be their end. Some cartoons had already slipped into a comfortable retirement, but most saw the death of their own genre as the shiny, three dimensional world took over. But, instead of being erased from pop culture history, the old world entered the new. Broke through it, in fact. Roger Rabbit was the first to leave Toontown. He had always been known for having one foot in the door and one out, but better for being completely obsolete as soon as his movie ended. One morning he woke up in the real life body of Roger Baxter, an up and coming television star. The two Rogers were forced to make sense of each other, exist in the same body and help other cartoons that were jumping off the page into the streets of Los Angeles. This is Erased.  On May 1st, 2009, nation leaders spoke together to reveal a truth to the world: the supernatural world is real. Vampires, werewolves, and more exist. They have been known to the government for a long time, and now they are coming out of the shadows - and they come with a message. They are not a threat. They mean no danger to humans. But there are other things out there that do. The days that followed changed everything most people believed they knew about the world, about history, and most importantly, about themselves. Celebrities, politicians, the family down the street - they began revealing their true identities, and telling the world what they really were. Missing people that had been turned against their will came out of hiding, and orginizations popped up to reunite them with their families. The revealing of the supernatural was penned in the media as the Light of May, as society made room for the supernatural. It wasn't easy. Many, human and supernatural alike, were terrified of what this would mean. Some wanted to keep the supernatural abominations down. Leading figures of both Democratic and Republican parties were revealed to be supernaturals themselves, and joined together to fight for civil rights for the supernatural. It is revealed that if the supernatural were wiped out, half of the entire world's population would be gone. Independent parties popped up through-out the country, opposing supernatural rights, and the fight goes on. But those aren't the only battles being fought. Why did the Light of May happen? If the supernatural has always existed, why are they only making themselves known now? For centuries, those with supernatural blood have been hunted, held, and killed - all for the benefits of their blood to hunters, and vampires who don't want to play by the rules of etiquette. There was a time when the angels, and even the fae, fought to protect them. But the fae have been extinct for hundreds of years, and worse - the angels seem to have disappeared. There is nothing fighting the demons of the world at bay now. The human race is at risk, and they are not alone. The Light of May is an original supernatural game, taking place in a time when the world is adjusting to the world that has been hidden since the beginning of time. The game is set in Ann Arbor, Michigan, centered around a fictional township called Scarlet Oak. Characters of many races are up for play, as are those trusty humans. The Light of May will be focusing on characters adjustments and the eventual struggle against demons, hunters, and more. The Light of May is for original characters only. Pre-existing fandom characters will not be allowed. The game has just launched to the public, and starts Thursday, May 14th. We already have 40+ characters! Along with this letter, you will be receiving a packet of information that includes our student's code of conduct, as well as your enrollment forms for the fall semester. Bainbridge Academy is a community-based roleplay that takes place within a very “preppy” boarding school setting. We're just getting started, so there's plenty of time to begin plotting story lines with other players. Almost all PB's that you could possibly want are still available for the claiming. We want to work hard to make this a roleplay that is known for its friendliness, creativeness, and fun atmosphere. Join today! Deep within the Canopus System lies the planet, Soter, a world strangely similar to Earth that was abandoned long ago by it's original inhabitants. Placed on the black market, the planet was eventually purchased by a eccentric man known only as The Collector. He spent many years restoring the planet's greatest city, Colligo, to it's former glory and many intergalactic entrepreneurs believed he intended to turn Soter's Colligo into one of the greatest vacation destinations the known galaxy had ever seen! They were wrong. Instead, Colligo became The Collector's own personal display case for his personal collection of people. During the time he spent restoring Colligo, he also began selecting worthy specimens to start his collection with and others to be added to it later on. These unfortunate people, after having been grabbed from their respective planets, times, and realities, awaken within the Colligo's grand library filled with books who's spins and pages are blank and devoid of pictures or words, unaware of where they are or how they got there. They are soon ushered out of the building and into the city by guards dressed in medieval armor that step off podiums that break the illusion that they are merely statues. No matter what abilities the new collection possesses, fighting these guards is impossible - as is leaving Colligo or the planet. If one tries, they find themselves back in the library and being pushed out into the city once more by the guards. You, unfortunately, have caught The Collector's eye and have been added to his collection. Where you are is unknown, how you got there is an even bigger mystery, but you're faced with two choices: learn to live in this city or die trying to escape it. The choice is yours.
