The year is 1988, and Gene Hunt finds himself alone for the first time. Gene is still in London coping with the rise or football hooliganism, beginning with the arrest of 41 people for acts of hooliganism in the third round FA cup match between Arsenal and Millwall, and this time, he's doing it alone. Or is he, limbo is what limbo does, and his new team are pulled in around him. With the appearance of a new thorn in his side, he needs his faithful deputies, but are the old team really gone? Only time will tell, but for now he really is trying to save the face of the force and his station, while working with a bunch of absolute beginners.
