Michael Corner ([info]inthedarkness) wrote in [info]inpoormerit,
And that was why Eden had focused on depth instead of distance. And she was fairly certain that both males were idiots for wandering around the woods at night. They could've easily been eaten by the damn wargs or whatever the hell they were. She didn't know, she didn't want to know. She wanted to avoid those beasts as much as possible so she didn't end up between what must be massively powerful jaws on such a creature that size... Possibly even stronger than hyenas and they had some of the most powerful jaws in the world.

Ed agreed with a soft noise, stretching out fully on her towel apparently content to air dry. Okay, maybe she was just trying to mess with the man as, well, he was a man and thus fair game to mess with. "Not exactly crossing the English Channel, hmm?" There was no way that they were going to get anywhere by swimming. They would have to build a very large boat and likely The Commissioner would have it torn down every night if they tried.

She couldn't help but catch the wedding band, arching an eyebrow but settled her hand in his for a firm but brief shake. It wasn't like her necklace wasn't laying on the towel beside her - two golden bands on a silver chain. One for a man and one for a woman. "Eden. Ed if you like. And you'd be right about that. Spent all day yesterday looking about. Don't think I saw you though."
