Full Moon - Final Night

Storyline
Once again, Eden and Ben found themselves at the mercy of the moon. The effect this time was more similar to that of the first night of their transformations. The changes, while still painful, seem to be a little easier this time, perhaps because the body has begun to adjust to the unnatural changes. After another night spent as dire animals, the characters will awaken to a cool morning -- with a whole month to prepare for the change.

Unfortunately for Gwyn, there seems to be no respite for her condition: she remains unchanged: something caught between a woman and a snake.

A cool southernly breeze greets characters this morning. By 10:00 AM, the breeze has picked up to a steady wind, and the few lazy clouds that filled the night sky have become dark and threatening. The storm moves in quickly after that, bringing thunder, lightning, and, surprisingly, even a few minutes of hail. Before noon, the storm does no damage but for a few leaves and small twigs torn from trees.

The storm goes on all morning. At 2:00 PM, the storm gives one final gust: a large tree near Yankee block is hit by lightning. Although soaked from the day-long downpour, the tree briefly flares up and topples onto the building. The fire is out by the time characters arrive, and no one is hurt. The tree did, however, take a powerline with it, knocking out power for the entire facility. After this final act, the storm rolls into the distance, having decided, apparently, that it had done enough damage.

Candles, umbrellas, and flashlights are, of course, available in the stores.

So far, there is no word from the Commissioner -- but even if there were, of course, characters couldn't read it.
