Coop had promised Belle that he wouldn't go far into the woods. After all, he wasn't an idiot -- well, more accurately put, he was a trained idiot. Without weapons to defend himself, he wasn't about to strike out after what promised to be a very large cat...

...But he did want to check and see if it was still lingering around town. He honestly wasn't expecting to find Eden, probably not as a cat and definitely not as a human. That, in turn, made him feel bad for Cath, but this was all just a bit beyond him.

It was when he noticed the strange tracks coming back into town that he began to suspect that they either had a problem or that someone had been hurt, because normal people did not walk on all fours.

The door closed behind him, muting the sounds of the world outside and leaving him in the relative solitude of the store.

It was a small store, but the rows of shelves made it difficult to see everything at once. He paused in the entrance, taking a survey of the room. Finally, he asked tentatively, "Hello?"
