Shadow Magnet
Who: Eden, OPEN
Where: Foresty area at first before heading into town.
When: Afternoon
Warning: Naked lady-ness? Raw meats!

The previous evening was a blur to Eden. If she thought rather hard, she could remember a lot of pain and the horrible sounds of bones and tissue tearing and shifting. It was a sound she'd heard before many times in many ways but it had never happened to her personally like that before. And then it had.

All she knew was that when she woke up she was alone and out in the forest, naked and smeared with dirt and other bits of foliage. Her ears seemed to have adjusted to the loudness of sounds around her and there was something new - her sense of smell was incredibly heightened. She could smell the local animals some of whom were watching her and she could smell the underlying scents of nature - live plants, rotting plants, animal byproducts - all of it.

And she could see the tiny details around her. Some of that increased eye sight led her to her own tracks which she followed while she was on all fours. They indicated stress of some kind - at least the human ones but as she went further away from them, they became less human and more feline but rather large. So Cathair was right. Her stomach growled loudly then and her head flicked to one side, looking through the trees.

A further turn of her head told her what direction town was in. She could hunt - she wanted to hunt. Nothing would give her greater pleasure than to stalk something down and rip its soft furry belly out but the human part of her said no no no and she fought the instinct. She headed through the trees quickly back towards town with only the thought of food on her mind. When she finally got into town, she went straight for the grocery store. Surely there would be something there that caught her interest...

Once inside, she slipped through the aisles surprisingly quiet to herself, feet not even reacting to the cold tile. She found herself in a little meat section and perched upon the raised display case. For a long while it seemed she simply gorged herself on the meat within the display leaving several bloody packages behind along with blood all over her hands, mouth and torso. Really, she couldn't help it - her mind was simply embracing the animal within her and running with it. It was a miracle she hadn't gone snacking on monkeys in the first place.
