Cathair hadn't found Americans all that unpleasant. It didn't hurt that they had a rather romanticized view of anyone from a foreign country, but especially those from other native English speaking cultures.
"I've never been to Australia," he admitted. Well, he'd never left Ireland until he'd had to. And going back home was never an option. "Whenever anyone talks about Sydney, I see the opera house. I'm sure there's more to the city than that though."
He picked up his fork at least and attempted to eat as civilly as possible, even if Eden's table manners were more akin the beasts she'd warded over for so long.
Cathair scoffed at her teasing. "I walked you back to your cottage after you kneed me in my balls, that has to say something for me." he pointed out wryly. It wasn't that he hadn't forgiven her for that, but he wasn't forgetting it any time soon. It had been an interesting first impression at least.
