She had to remind herself this boy didn't seem too bright and he didn't know Cooper. Anybody who actually knew Cooper knew he'd never lie to Belle about anything. Especially since he knew she'd always find out anyway and then there'd be hell to pay. They'd been married for ten years. Even if Cooper weren't the most honest, trustworthy man that ever lived, he knew which side his bread got buttered on.
So she ignored that silly comment as if he'd not said it.
As for the food. "It's already here. I'm hoping cookin' it will get rid of some of the stuff. We gotta eat, that's the only food we got. I just figure we might as well eat well, since we're stuck here."
