"What?" Ben wasn't panicking, but if this woman decided to take a swing at him he wasn't really in much of a state to defend himself. "I... can't remember," he lied. "Can't get my head thinking straight just yet."
His place? It might be many things, but it was hardly his place. That would suggest at least a degree of choice on his part and he sure as hell hadn't chosen to come here. "I will," he said with a nod and a wince as his head ached once more. He thought he could retrace his steps. At least he could head in pretty much the right direction.
Her last statement woke him up even more. "Wolves? Don't be ridiculous. Wolves aren't urban animals. At least, not unless they have no other option." Then again, that would fit in with the options he'd had as well. "Does nobody try and get them to leave?"
