Ben raised an eyebrow. "Fair enough," he conceded. "I was just thinking that you weren't very friendly, or welcoming. I decided discretion was the better part of valor, but clearly not."
He turned to see if he could work out where he'd come from. Yeah, he was fairly sure it was down there and first on the right and then... he'd worry about that when he got there. "You telling me nobody's been here long? Or do people just not leave this one not-quite-urban bit? Is exploration discouraged or forbidden? I'm sorry if I'm asking about stuff that's already in my welcome pack."
He paused, then raised both eyebrows when she talked about the wolves, then he laughed. "Monster-sized? Okay, I know arctic wolves can get bigger than the regular ones, but still. They're hardly monsters... just how big are we talking here?"
