Penny scratched uncomfortably at the back of her next at the mention of the law, following suit and taking a long slug off of her own drink. Time in the shop had made Penny fully aware of the depths of her awkwardness with strangers. What would it be like when she had to live with one? How would she ever -- well, the whole babymaking thing. She cringed involuntarily. The movement made her aware of the fact she had zoned out on Reese a bit, staring at the beads of water on the outsides of her glass.
The movement was abrupt, her face snapping upwards to catch the last part of what he was saying. She'd pause, biting her lip before speaking. "I just don't understand why it has to be all or nothing. Why people who want to breed can't breed first and go from there." She sighed, "I don't mind the idea of having kids someday. I probably would either way." She shrugged again, turning to look at the band as a guitar started tuning up. "Then again, they're all old enough to have grown up with kids as a possibility, it's kind of a novel idea to me."
