Mateo Estevan made his way across the WFG, shouldering through the crowded lobby level with a thick folder under one arm and a deep scowl set firmly on his face. It was only a day before the new semester was set to begin so the entire building was teeming with people, most of them being students who had waited until the very last minute to get everything in order. Mateo had been here for almost three hours already and he was sick of every single one of these idiots. If they had all done what they were supposed to do when they were supposed to do it, he wouldn't be stuck in this damn building. For too long he'd been surrounded by people, spending hours going from line to line and office to office and he was beyond tired of it. Of course he was here for basically the same reason but that was beside the point.
He had thought that he had finished getting everything ready for school weeks ago only to find out that morning that he had forgotten to register for a core class. To say he was pissed off was more than an understatement. Mateo spent over an hour raging around his apartment, kicking furniture and cursing the University for not having some way for all this stuff to be done automatically. What year did they live in? What was the point in technology if you still had to do things for yourself?
So here he was, way too many hours later, getting more and more pissed as every second ticked by. He got into the class but it had taken everything short of threatening the curly haired woman in admissions to do so and he still had another meeting with her in an hour. Now he was exhausted and still too frustrated and pissed off to do anything but wish that everyone around him would burst into flames. Or at least get out of his way.
The wish for massive, fiery destruction only increased when a passing student bumped into him, stepping on his already scuffed boot as they stumbled past and Mateo growled low in his throat. The shorter man's eyes widened and he backed away, an apology frozen on his lips.
"Stupid asshole." Mateo muttered darkly, still glaring after the other man. Mateo dropped down onto a vacant bench, dropping his file down next to him and sighing heavily as he slouched into his seat. It was barely three o'clock and he was ready for the entire day to be over.
