He couldn’t believe that he had been so careless and spilled his drink all over the table. If the situation wasn’t embarrassing enough, the girl who was minding her own business reading when he walked in had come over with a handful of paper towels to help rectify the situation. “I really can’t believe how clumsy I was just then,” he admitted, a little bit of red flushing into his cheeks. He picked up the textbooks and his notes and set them on the bench where he was sitting so the coffee wouldn’t ruin anything else. “Here let me help.” He couldn’t just stand idly by while he let her clean up after him. He took some paper towels from her and began mopping up the mess he had created.
Unfortunately Logan’s shyness was getting the best of him. He could tell that this girl had seen a lot of culinary accidents in her line of work, but he couldn’t get over the fact that he had just embarrassed himself in front of her and the entire establishment. She offered to bring him something else, but she had already helped a lot so he figured he wouldn’t ask for another cup of coffee. But then again, he had come all the way here for it in the first place. The internal struggle with deciding whether or not he should ask for a refill was battling it out inside his head. Logan rubbed at the back of his neck, “Actually, would you mind bringing me another cup of coffee since my books drank more of it than I did?”
