The delayed response to her first question had Peyton glance up at the blondes face. What she read there was troubling. The woman had seemed distraught before, but now she almost seemed even worse. All Peyton could think was that she must have remembered, that something awful had happened. Which made sense given her friend (girlfriend? She wasn't sure, not that it mattered) was a breathe away from death's door now.
Cauterizing, that was an interesting choice. Given the woman's naturally sulfurish scent though, she wondered if it hadn't been her doing. It had probably saved the little brunette, though. "Okay," she would save her non-important questions for later.
"Kali," she repeated. "Does that make you Liz or Beth?" Collins was familiar, but she couldn't remember why she knew the name right now. Too much of her focus was elsewhere. "Peyton Randall," she offered back. Whatever had happened to get these women into this state, had to have been bad. "Of course. I'll do everything I can." It was about the only promise she could make right now.
Reesyn. That was another name that was so familiar. The reason was right on the tip of Peyton's tongue, but she still wasn't sure how. There wasn't time to contemplate it now though, the blonde - Elizabeth, still had more to explain. It did sound crazy, but then didn't it sound pretty crazy that she could shift her human form into that of a leopard? Crazy wasn't even that hard to believe nowadays. "If you're that weak, can you get my body to this other world still?" It wasn't asked to be rude, but that seemed the most important bit to focus on. Which Peyton was good at, it's what helped her become a proficient healer. "I can send my spirit anywhere, that's easy enough, but I've never transported my body through.. what? Time and space? The other planes?" She wasn't sure, nor did she know if it mattered.
Tilting her head just a touch, "It sounds like she's not the only one in need of healing." If the blonde was that weak, her (and this was an assumption) fetus poisoned, then she would need to be looked at as well.
"Somehow I don't think she would like the idea of you trading places." Especially if the woman did have as good a soul as Liz seemed to think she did. The pleading wasn't necessary, but Peyton didn't try to stop her. She listened, but kept her energy focused on, essentially, sharing her life force.
The energy here was so raw right now, everything turned up to an eleven, but there was something about Elizabeth Collins that seemed terribly familiar to her as well.
The brunette - Kali's breathing was still shallow but seemed more even now. She still didn't open her eyes, but that was for the better. What little energy she had left would be better reserved for the healing itself. Undoubtedly it was going to be a rough process for all involved.
Glancing up, green eyes curious. "I doubt that's true." People who never did anything right rarely had friends willing to chase them to entire other worlds. It was impossible to not believe her surety, not that it mattered Peyton had already decided she would do what she could to help them both. "Get me to her body, I'll do what I can to save your friend." And after she would look at Liz and see if there was some way she could help her too (though she probably wouldn't be able to actually do anything right away. It would take time to regain her strength).
The idea of moving her body to another world was frightening in a way, yet Peyton couldn't help but also feel intrigued by the idea.
