Exactly, history is full of examples of people who acted upon fear when all was needed was just some understanding, empathy, taking the time to really see why you're afraid of the thing you're afraid of, reading a damn book. I'll admit, I'm not perfect, there are things that scare me because I don't understand them. But it's like when you're a kid and you're scared of the dark because you think there's monsters in the closet, but eventually, you figure out that the monsters is just a shadow from the tree outside and you had nothing to fear at all.
I feel like people like that understand fear far too well, and need to show their dominance over the things they fear the most and by way of doing it, makes it worse for everyone else around them.
