Despite his current lack of anything remotely close to his morning caffeine intake Stephen's brain started to kick into high gear. Had this been an automatic 'sorry' or a passive grunt or whatever else normal people usually responded to, he probably would have let this go. Gotten back in line and gone on with his morning. But now that his vision was focusing a bit more and saw the woman before him. Yeah, he couldn't let this go now. Maybe it was a sign that despite growing up in some very real ways, he was still very incapable of letting some things go. Oh no. He had to deal with self-righteous assholes at work all day every day and he wasn't about to do it now. Nope. Instead he just cocked his left eye brow up and shifted so his weight was resting on his right hip.
"Well, maybe if you actually stood in right spot to get your Decaf-Soy-Latte-With-An-Extra-Shot-And-Cream with your nose stuck in a book not paying attention to your surroundings then maybe you wouldn't risk getting bumped into. There's a queue for a reason." he said trying to sound perfectly reasonable about the whole thing. He knew that his logic was sound. Stephen knew that his words were perfectly reasonable. Unfortunately, the problem was that his words were laced with annoyance, and Steve didn't exactly do gentle or subtle with his words unless he had to. Not to mention unless you knew him very well, chances were most people tended to take him the wrong way anyway. Something that he often didn't think about, which usually lead to situations much like the one that they were in now.
Not to mention that standing here having to point this out was leading him to delay getting his new coffee which was seriously upsetting him right now. He just wanted coffee for Pete's sake!
