Ernie and Melinda
Ernie rolled his eyes, like he did at everyone, at her response. "First," he started. "I'm always a healer so I reject your statement." his words might have been harsh to those that didn't know him. But those who were practiced in the way that Ernie just talked to people would be able to pick up in the fact that there was no actual heat to his voice what so ever. "Secondly, I did not go into psychology, or long-term spell damage and it's effects on the brain, so there is little chance of me using my professional knowledge in this situation." he added and then after taking another short sip of his beverage he finished with "Lastly, you letting that work you into something it shouldn't?" he asked outright. No judgement in his voice, more, curious and flat than anything.
Ernie gave out a very small chuckle at that, but his lips barely moved from their slight grin at the corners of his mouth. "If I started smilin' more, lass, people would get scared, worried, and wondering if I finally snapped. Can't have that now. Can't be spending my time convincing people that I don't have bodies in my basement, yeah?" he was mostly kidding. Mostly.
