Dean & Aly
Now things were certainly falling into place, Aly realizing she certainly had seen him around. Though the bit about the orphanage certainly got to her. If he had been less sincere, she might have thought it was some sort of line to pick up bleeding heart individuals like herself. It wouldn't be the first time it had been used on her, or the first time she had fallen for it. But she didn't exactly peg Dean for that type at all. No, he was just being genuine. That was nice to see. "That's incredibly sweet of you. They're all such good kids, I'm sure the benefit from such a caring role model."
As Dean spoke, Aly smiled softly, listening to every word with an intent interest. His words to some might have been a bit abstract, but she believed she understood what he was getting at. At least a part. "That parties are important, or really, any fun social event, to remind us what it's like to be normal? Or at the very least, what a normal, happy life should be like..." she trailed off, moving to grab her empty cup that she had set on the table before Dean had arrived. "We're all smart in our own way. And I can tell you're not giving yourself nearly enough credit."
