Ernie and Melinda
Something about the way he said that little word caught Melinda a little off guard. Her eyes turned back to him, letting her beer go back to its place wedged between her legs. There was a moment's pause as she looked at him before she recognized exactly what that tone was. It brought a roll of her eyes in response. "Don't healer me." She said, reaching out to take a light swipe at his arm. "I already talked to you about this, yeah? You were working on your proposals." She leaned back in the chair, letting her eyes settle on the fire.
"Maybe it's been a couple weeks now." She added after a moment. Days had started blurring together a little. Had it been more than the one week? She turned to him, a smile on her lips, though it hadn't reached her eyes. "I can't wait for that, then. I'd like to see you smile like that more."
