Characters: Bellatrix and Voldemort Location: Malfoy Manor and then Gringotts Time: Early Tuesday Afternoon Rating: TBD Summary: Voldemort visits the place where his horcrux is hidden with a special plan in mind. Status: Incomplete
Since that day at Diagon Alley, Voldemort had been stewing in his thoughts. Fury had often been the most prevalent feelings. How dare anyone attack him like that? He was the Dark Lord and the Minister of Magic, yet Weasley had dared to attack him. Like anything else, he had assumed the attack was aimed at him. That would have been simple.
This was not.
The curse had struck Nagini. He had Nagini since he was only in his twenties. In the strangest way, he had bonded with the serpent. Nagini had been one of the only people he had told some of his plots and plans. She could express her own opinion without earning his ire. He would often genuinely listen to her.
She was more than a serpent or pet, she was one with him. She was his horcrux. He had hidden a piece of his soul within her. He had thought no one would ever know.
Obviously they had.
From Potter's mind he had extracted Potter's belief that Nagini was a horcrux. He had still thought she was safe until that faithful jet of green light had engulfed her.
One horcrux was dead, but he still had others. They would need to be protected. He could enact all the charms and enchantments he possibly could. It could become practically unbreakable, but it would not be enough. If Potter's friends still existed his horcruxes would still be threatened. For them to be safe. They needed to be done away with.
He knew how.
With a careful and intricate wave of his wand the faint flicker of the Dark Mark shone above his wand before it disappeared. His scarlet eyes concentrated on the design, before he stood to stand besides the hearth. Bellatrix would be here soon. She would feel the burn on her arm like always.
