There was a moment where he wanted to ask her about the slight change in her expression--that hadn't at all gone unnoticed by him. When you spent all of your time avoiding direct contact with people, you learned to watch them, observe them from a distance, and he was very good at reading people. Because he didn't know her all that well, and she was very good at hiding emotion, he wasn't exactly sure what that moment of change in her expression had meant, but he got the impression that she could relate to him at least on the family level.
"So," Liam said, "you want to go somewhere, where we can talk more freely once you get off?" he asked, motioning towards the hunters in the place. Here they had to be careful what they said, and for the first time in a long time he didn't feel like being careful.
