What about Crow?
So, from what I’m reading, the Signers split up to duel the Dark Signers one on one. Except Yuusei turns back at the first possible excuse to go check up on one of the other Signers. All the fans are easily extrapolating that he will find some excuse to go to all of the other duel sites, to “check up on” his fellow Signers, and incidentally pick up tips on how to duel a Dark Signer, before he finally faces Kiryuu again. Kiryuu’s going to be waiting a while.
And a preview (printed in Animedia, I think) says something about Crow going to the “Giant’s Tower” in a future episode, and Kiryuu’s geoglyph is the Giant. Will Crow keep Kiryuu busy so that he doesn’t go looking for Yuusei before Yuusei has picked up enough dueling tips?
What could happen if Crow duels Kiryuu? Lately we have had a lot of duels interrupted before the conclusion, so that could happen again. We know Kiryuu has to go on to duel Yuusei, so Crow could lose outright. But I suspect Crow will win even though the duel is pointless.
We’re still not sure who the fifth Signer is, but it seems certain it’s not Crow. He showed no sign of a mark when Kiryuu first appeared and all the other Signers reacted. A normal person like Crow against a Dark Signer won’t produce one of those Shadow Game type duels. Kiryuu specifically said, of the geoglyph road course, “This is the battlefield for Signer versus Dark Signer.”
I predict: Yuusei watches all the other duels and picks up tips; Crow duels Kiryuu; Yuusei arrives in time to see Crow win, revealing some crucial weakness in Kiryuu’s deck; losing to Crow doesn’t harm Kiryuu at all, and Yuusei still has to duel him; but now Yuusei knows how to beat him.
