"Well, it beats doing nothing and letting them just ..." she waved a hand. "Do as they please with no retaliation." She exhaled and rolled her shoulders before starting resolutely back toward the forest, passing Jayne again on her way in as he was coming back out.
Lily smiled fondly to Dug. "That's ... lovely, Dug," she called over the rain. "You should ..." Lily hesitated, because telling Dug to 'dig holes in a circle' wasn't going to do anyone any favors.
Instead, she bit her lip and steadied the magic holding the trees together before she flicked her wand a couple of times. A series of white-blue Xs appeared on the sand in a rough circle. "Can you see the marks on the sand, love? Dig small holes where the marks are."
That would likely be a bit better than him dragging out sticks.
Jayne grunted slightly as he dropped the tree beside the others in the small-but-growing stack of them. He glanced to Lily and the dog and Jaime and Vance before he grinned, rolled his shoulders, and started back into the jungle to continue his game of fetch.
