Jaime laughed softly when she heard Vance explain to Dug. "Just ... a little hut of our own. Where their cameras aren't. It's in a deaf spot," she elaborated with a gesture. "They can't hear whatever we say around the fire, but they could still see what's going on and who's gathered and everything, so we figure if we build our own little fort ... they won't be able to see. So no guessing by body language or anything like that." She shrugged. "We thought it was ... a good idea. You know?"
Jayne didn't care about the whys or the whats. He cared that he got to do something besides sit on his ass in front of the TV, wasting his days away. He cared that someone was finally taking steps to do something about their captivity, though it amused him endlessly that it was the little slip of a girl the captain was rutting with.
Stepping onto the path into the woods, he did try to avoid the dog, but he wasn't going to go out of his way to do so.
