Salem chuckled. "Death comes to us all, and any cat silly enough to settle in with a pharaoh knew what was coming." He shrugged. He felt no sympathy. He was, after all, not a real cat.
"Indeed, they did. Bastet, Bes, Isis, Ma'at, some of the most powerful and most passionate goddesses of their times. Oh, sure, they were mostly known for other things, but their parties made Aphrodite's 'special priestesses' look tame."
Salem smiled. "There were so many things between those four, that they even lured in one who was really part of another pantheon; Ishtar. With her at their side, Egyptian parties were like nothing the world has ever seen, or ever will see again." He sighed a little, then grinned at her. "Only some warlocks remember."
