River swallowed thickly, but nodded her head, taking a few steps forward and trying to relax. "Two ways, two carriers. Two by two, always the way since the beginning," she murmured faintly, but the words were hard to get out. She wasn't sure what to say, or what to do now that she was here. She did ease forward though, one step at a time, at Faye's encouragement.
"Don't understand," she said finally. "He is elusive as a default, but fascination with protection makes him keep facts crucial to understanding under lock and key. Should someone become infected, would increase chances of survival if there were more than two conduits through which healing could occur." She rolled her eyes slightly, "Claims not to care, and mayhaps is true, but all the same every body is needed in this instance, and would do no good to have us all wiped out by a plague."
Even if the plague wasn't likely to be unleashed at all. They wouldn't give this many clues if they were really planning on wiping people out en masse. Unless she was playing right into their hands by seeking out Faye, and their purpose was to drive a wedge between she and Spike?
