Sam slipped into the lab, hanging up her coat. She paused when she saw that her chair was occupied, and her brows lifted. "Early for Halloween isn't it?" she quipped to Matt as she spun the chair around so the 'corpse' was facing her. She'd known about the videos, of course. She'd edited one of them for all that. She just wasn't sure why one of the props was in her chair.
"I just wanted to see what she thought of the video. Earthquakes, flood, destruction. Floating dog body." He grinned. "Funny though, she didn't seem that impressed. No reaction at all."
He glanced to the red-headed corpse, sighing softly, contently. It was nice having the reins back and the fun back in his court. He hadn't liked that whole ... close observation thing. Fortunately, Josef and Christoph were busy with other projects at the moment, and he could go right back to the all-out torture.
Thus the unscheduled interruption of communications and the devastating videos he had planned.
"We should do something nice for them after this," Sam suggested as she watched Matt lift the Lily-corpse out of her chair. She saw the torn open throat, and she knew that under the mannequin's shirt, there were six criss-crossing slashes -- like bear claws had torn her open. That had featured very prominently in the video, and she had to admit he'd made good choices with his display.
Lily, of course, because everyone knew her to some degree or another. She was iconic, so far as that went. Severus, because she herself was kind of inclined to watch the wolves panic (though it was funny only because she knew they'd be fine and potioned by the moon), and Lizzy, because anyone who had no tie to Severus or Lily would surely feel something for a child.
Each 'corpse' was obviously the victim of a bear attack, and they'd all looked like very, very real corpses on the video.
"Nice like what? They get the week off when they're moved," Matt grumped. "And they get Christmas, for fuck's sake. With presents, even."
"Yeah, but there's going to be two days where they each think the other island's gone. You tell me that's not going to result in some ... we don't actually want to break them yet. We came too close to it with Jaime."
"She turned out fine, didn't she?" he protested. "Plenty of drugs and no suicide. I'd call that a win."
Sam rolled her eyes; she should know better than to argue with him. "Both the videos set to go?"
"Yup. Cutting the communications Tuesday night. Posting the videos Wednesday morning. Barren Isle will think Algul Siento was beset by bears. Algul Siento will think Barren Isle was flooded and they're all dead." Matt sighed and smiled. "It'll be amazing. I can't wait to watch it."
