She took a moment to breathe heavily, trying to regain control, but nodded to show that she understood so that he wouldn't. She made a soft noise of exasperation, pressing light kisses along his jaw because she couldn't help it, and wondered if that was okay now or not. "Want you," she said. She'd only meant to think it, but a lot of her focus was going towards trying to calm down. She couldn't stop feeling what she was feeling right now, but she could control her actions if she tried.
The overwhelming feelings passed quickly, enough, and she offered him a small, teasingly annoyed expression, as though she'd expected the answer she'd been given. Which was partially true. She had anticipated that she would do this wrong. Emotions were too much of a grey, uncontrolled area for her. And anything governed by them was a big blind spot for her.
"Another time," she said, reaching up to stroke his face lightly, his eyes darting back and forth over his expression, needing to clarify both for him and for herself that she could be patient with this. That she could wait.
