RP: Just Go Ahead and Add Water. - EQ - 4.1 - 10 seconds Who: Lilly Rush, and Open What: Reading, making notes, not at all freaking out, and definitely NOT thinking of getting a stiff drink. When: October 12th, 4pm Where: The Library to start, and then outside. Warnings/Rating: PG-13 for Lilly's mouth, and thoughts. Status: Open, ongoing.
The library seemed like a relatively good place to be at the time. It wasn't her room; it wasn't the kitchen; wasn't the lobby; and it wasn't a bar (if this island had a bar.) The library was a place that she could go to, and try and figure out what was up with this place.
Yes, still.
Call it boredom, or better yet, call it her unwillingness to give up on her job. She was a detective; sure she couldn't exactly go around solving any homicides, but she could still be useful, right?
She was in the library looking at the network. The latest message was had something to do with a large group of people disappearing. She remembered when a group of people had disappeared, but had come back. Was this the same situation? Or something different? Whatever the case it only proved to Lilly that their kidnappers were a bunch of asshole sadists.
"At least a serial killer will actually kill their victims eventually," Lilly muttered to herself.
Plus, serial killers couldn't just magically kidnap people, and take them to strange islands. The detective continued to look over the network, but when she couldn't find anything she finally gave up, and shut the lid.
"Fresh air might do me some good," she told herself.
No sooner had she said that, and the table started to tremble. There was definitely trembling felt and seen all around the place, and it actually reminded Lilly of that damn dream she had had while underwater. The only thing missing from this were the windows cracking, water seeping from the cracks, and people just suddenly disappearing on her.
Three seconds in, and she wondered just how much longer this was going to last.
