"Perhaps he is too dangerous," she offered uncertainly, disbelieving the words even as she spoke them. There were people here, captives here, who were dangerous ... and the horseman was only a danger to those he was ordered to ... well, be a danger to.
But if they were able to bring him here, then surely they wouldn't do so without the means to control him. Katrina exhaled softly before she shifted closer to rest her head against Ichabod's chest.
"I would rather we were both home safe, away from this nightmare," she admitted quietly. Granted, she assumed he desired the very same thing, but it didn't hurt to speak the words aloud. She would rather not be home alone, knowing what she knew. She would hate to think of him alone here, forced to face this mystery on his own.
"Do you think ... do you think there is a way out of here? Like the note said, if we work together ...?" She knew they'd already planned to go out and mingle, but perhaps they should develop some sort of plan of going about that.
