Jayne, Barney, open
Barney shrugged, still grinning, "Not hello necessarily, but it's a good way to start a conversation. Barney Stinson," he said, extending a hand to shake. "And I don't know if I would say easy - she seemed to respond well to friendliness. Apparently, she was here all alone for 4 days before people started arriving? Desperate for contact, if you know what I mean." He grinned, knowing Jayne knew exactly what he meant.
"Thinks herself proper, though," he said with an annoyed shrug. "Has a fiance back home and thinks it still means something here." Of course, his opinions about marriage were not great. "But she can definitely be worn down. And a man of your caliber should have no trouble with it."
He wasn't sure why he was sucking up. He was just sort of going with it.
